– Development History
Belt transport is widely used in the production lines of semiconductors and solar cells. However, this process can be challenging because the products have to go through many processes and each approach process has unique characteristics, making it difficult to ensure the reliability of the rollers that drive and guide the belt.
To address these challenges, ORBIS has developed and supplied customized products that are tailored to the requirements and existing problems of various process facilities.
For instance, where frequent roller replacement was necessary due to contamination of bearings from viscous liquid, plastic bearings and cover structures were added to improve their lifespan. For high-speed and high-load belt rotation, wear-resistant plastic inserts were injected onto steel bearings to develop the most suitable product. These rollers are designed to be as integrated as possible, minimizing the time required to build or maintain the equipment.
