Three-point Contact

Ball Bearings

This bearing is used when both a load perpendicular to the axis of rotation and a load in the direction of the axis of rotation are simultaneously received.

The configuration consists of balls filling the raceway with no gaps with the cage excluded.

The contact points are one on the outer ring and one on each of the separate inner rings, and they come into constant contact at all three points, which is the same configuration as our ball roller bearing type.

The main benefits of this bearing (in comparison to our four-point contact type) are that it is able to maintain stability under similar loads, yet it is significantly cheaper for our clients, and it also can be produced in all stainless steel when that is required.

ORBIS supplies the separated inner ring in combination with the shaft for our clients convenience.

Not only has the variety of sizes and shapes, and materials expanded the range of choices, but the stable durability, reasonable price, and ease of assembly are sure to provide greater satisfaction and benefits to all our clients.
