Truss Bearings
The patented “Truss Bearing” is an advanced new plain bearing design specially developed with a compound mixture of engineered plastics.
For low friction and stiffness required by bearings, ORBIS Truss bearings were designed considering load balancing, precision retention, vibration absorption, and volumetric expansion correction.
Additionally, they can support both rotational and linear motion.
※ Truss Bearings conformed with Bearing No. 6000(d=10, D=26, W=8) & 6803(d=17, D=26, W=5) are available now.
Main features of ORBIS Truss Bearings
1. Higher Load Capacity
With specially rigid materials and load-balancing structure, ORBIS Truss bearings have four times the load-weight capacity of our typical plastic ball bearings.
2. Oilless & Money Saving
Using self-lubricating materials can maintain cleanliness without lubricants such as grease or oil. This results in reduced maintenance costs.
3. Vibration Absorption & Axis Correction
The elasticity and structural flexibility of the plastic material can reduce the amplitude by absorbing vibration generated while rotating and it can correct the deviation of the shaft caused by machining tolerances or assembly tolerances.
4. Optimized Precision Maintenance
The initial precision can be kept by the development of special materials with small expansion coefficients and the unique structure to absorb volumetric expansion by temperature changes to the circumference direction.
5. Rotational and Linear Motions
ORBIS Truss Bearings are applicable for rotational and linear motions respectively or simultaneously.
6. Standard Sizes
ORBIS Truss Bearings conforming to deep groove ball bearing standards in sizes will be provided for customers’ easy selection.
